(A) Democracy

India is the largest democracy in the world. Ruled by various kings and emperors and colonized by the Europeans for centuries, India became a democratic nation post its independence in the year 1947. Thereafter, the citizens of India were given the right to vote and elect their leaders. The second most populous country and the seventh largest country by area, India is the largest democracy in the world. Indian democratic government was formed after the nation attained independence in 1947. The parliamentary and state assembly elections are held every 5 years to elect the Central and state governments.

(B) Importance of Festivals

Indians give special importance to their festivals. Special arrangements are made for the celebration of various festivals each year. People in our country love celebrating the festivals with their near and dear ones. Each Indian festival has its own unique way of celebration and people follow the tradition while celebrating the same. People of India also hold great regard for the National festivals of the country. Gandhi Jayanti, Independence Day and Republic Day are the three national festivals of our country. All in all, Indians celebrate both religious and National festivals with great enthusiasm. Children as well as elders look forward to the festive celebrations

(C) Your Favourite Cricketer

My favorite sports person is MS Dhoni. He is one of the most popular cricketer and one of the most successful cricket captain in the world. He was selected to lead team India in 2007. India was the top team in Test ranking for eighteen months starting December 2009, won the World Cup in 2011 and the World Twenty twenty on his captaincy debut in 2007. MS Dhoni is always a role model for all youngsters. He always demonstrated how to handle pressure situation and earned the name Captain Cool. He also holds several international records and the most significant of all of them is the most number of stumping done by a wicketkeeper.

(D) Role of Youth

Youth are the building blocks of a nation. It is a fact that the more stronger the youth, the more developed the nation is. The role of the youth in the nation-building occupies the central place. The countries which utilize their youth in as right direction are more developed. The youth hopes for a world free of poverty, unemployment, inequality and exploitation of man by man. The countries where the youth are agile and pay their proper contributions towards their nation are more developed. The entire success of a nation depends on the youth.
