Good morning, respected Principal sir, teachers and my dear friends. I am Anil from class X. Today the topic of my speech is importance of literacy.

Education is an important part of a person’s upbringing. Schooling dominates many peoples’ lives for much of early years. Education is preparation for the future, and acquire one before it is too late: Education gives people the tools to think logically and reason for themselves. Literacy is the cornerstone of education as a whole and it is highly unlikely one could find much success without been taught the art of reading and writing.
